How to Photograph the Moon and Planets with Your Digital Camera (The Patrick Moore Practical Astronomy Series)
Tony Buick, a renowned astronomer, has a lifelong interest in the sky and has encouraged younger generations to observe and understand the sky while teaching science, computing, and geography. His friendship with Sir Patrick Moore led to the publication of How to Photograph the Moon and Planets with your Digital Camera. Buick has published articles on tardigrades, microscopic animals that can survive in space, and the Moon. His latest book, The Rainbow Sky, published in 2009, is a product of his interest in spectroscopy and color throughout the universe. Philip Pugh, a technical instructor in telecommunications, was born in England and became interested in astronomy at age six. He became a published writer in 1980 and began writing for computing magazines. His interest in astronomy was rekindled after a view of Venus and a trip to an observatory in New Zealand. He was given a pair of binoculars for his 40th birthday in 1995, and his first book, Observing the Sun with Coronado Telescopes, was published in 1999. Philip has experimented with compact digital cameras and researched Messier objects. His interest in astrophotography has spawned an interest in general photography, and he has collected many “tourist” shots from around the world.
